If you are using any version of late Vista and Windows 7, there are a few things that you will want to know.

This is not specific to VTM-M2 but really installing just about anything.

Log on as administrator.

UAC (User Access Control) - I think that is what it stands for :-)

Lower UAC protection level.

When installing anything new, make a system restore point.

Make sure all other programs, especially audio related hosts, are closed.

When installing, use right click 'run as administrator'.

Then, open DAW using right click 'run as administrator'.

Literally every Windows 7 issue has been the result of one version of this or another.

If someone first installs while the DAW is open- one issue.
If someone scans the first time without administration rights, another issue.
And the list goes on.
But, if you follow these instructions above, perfect succcess rate.
